The controversial
Internet vigilante site Perverted-Justice.com has aided in the return of
an abducted 14 year old girl missing for two weeks from Camas, Washington.
Operators of Perverted Justice traced messages to an IP (Internet Protocol)
number corresponding to a user living in Firecrest, near Tacoma, Washington.
Police arrested 47-year-old Stanley Sadler. Sadler is charged with kidnapping,
child rape, and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Dear Customers of FOONET/CIT:
We regret to inform you that on
Saturday February 14, 2004 at approximately 8:35 am EST, FOONET/CIT's data
center in Columbus, Ohio temporarily ceased operations.
Here are the facts of what occurred:
The FBI executed a search warrant issued
by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio regarding
the IRC network that we host. According to the warrant, it appears that
the Bureau is investigating whether someone hosted on our network hacked
and attacked someone else.
After several hours of attempting
to track down, inspect and audit the terabytes of data that we host, the
FBI determined that it was more efficient (from their point of view) to
remove all of our servers and transport them to the FBI local laboratories
for inspection. This was completed at 7:00 pm EST same day. For the

Summary: Emails to financial institution
customers that fraudulently claim to be from the FDIC attempt to obtain
highly sensitive personal information, including bank account information.
These emails falsely indicate that FDIC deposit insurance is suspended
until the requested customer information is provided.
