John Kenneth Galbraith, professor of economics and renown liberal economist, has died at age 97.  Galbraith brought into the lexicon the "affluent society" with the publishing of his book by the same name in 1958.

Galbraith influenced the Johnson administration, who introduced the anti poverty program, "The Great Society". He was also an author with over 30 published books, and Ambassador to India during the Kennedy Administration.
