Tributes to the
late Steve Irwin, the "Crocodile Hunter" are inundating Internet discussion
forums worldwide. Steve Irwin died yesterday in Queensland, Austrailia,
following an attack by a sting ray.
Chatmag's discussion
forum has been flooded with messages of condolences for Mr. Irwin and his
family. In other Internet chat and discussion areas, the news of his death
is the topic of the hour. The Crocodile Hunter Internet web site is currently
unavailable due to the large numbers of people attempting to log into the
site.
Steve Irwin was
the star of the very popular TV program, "The Crocodile Hunter", and known
for his contributions to environmentalism. Irwin was also known for a stunt
shown on television, involving his son. He had held his son in one arm
while feeding a crocodile with a piece of chicken.
Steve Irwin leaves
his wife Terri, daughter Bindi Sue, and his son, who will be 3 in December.
