The recent sting
which resulted in the suicide of Louis Conradt may of been saved from an
earlier sting operation, in hopes of being shown on Dateline NBC.
Conradt had originally
been involved in a sting conducted by the Murphy, Texas Police and Perverted-Justice.com,
in July of 2006 without the Dateline NBC crew in tow. The search warrant
used in what became a suicide was dated 30 July, 2006, the date consistent
with the original sting operation.
Serious questions
have arisen following the suicide of Conradt.
Why did the Murphy,
Tx. Police not execute the warrant at the time of the sting? The warrant
had a three day limit and was null and void when finally issued against
Conradt.
Why did the Murphy,
Tx. Police wait almost three full months to execute the warrant?
Did the Murphy,
Tx. Police know that Dateline NBC would be filming in November, and withhold
the arrest of Conradt until it could be televised?
During the three
months, did Perverted-Justice.com remain in contact with Conradt, keeping
him "on the hook' until the camera could film his arrest? Certainly Conradt,
a District Attorney, would be wary of anyone talking to him in July, and
then disappearing until November. Conradt would have been aware of the
Dateline NBC stings, and be suspect of anyone, unless the decoy maintained
a constant contact and kept Conradt off guard.
The arrest of
a District Attorney would be a very large feather in the caps of Dateline
NBC, Perverted-Justice.com and the Murphy Police Department.
Was Conradt a
victim of a network program who's only concern is ratings, a vigilante
group hungry for legitimacy, and a police department who puts television
fame ahead of enforcing the law?
A full investigation
should be forthcoming, including the entire chat log or logs involving
Conradt and Perverted-Justice.com. If the Conradt sting was held back for
Dateline NBC, then all involved should be held accountable.
